UPDATED ::: The opening of Empire City Mall has been delayed by almost 1 year from the end of 2015.

Empire City Mall is part of a greater development called Empire City in Damansara Perdana.

It is an impressive RM5 billion mega integrated mixed development, currently being developed by the Mammoth Empire Group in suburban Damansara Perdana in Petaling Jaya. Damansara Perdana is located just outside of Kuala Lumpur City.

It was believed that several components such as Halo and Sunday studio suites will be handed over next year. The mall component which is at the tail-end of construction is targeted to open progressively by end of next year.

Its distinctive cutting-edge and colonial-styled architecture accords the mall with an international feel. With a NLA of close to 2.0 million sq ft and anchored by mid-to-upper anchor tenants, the mall will host an Olympic-sized ice skating rink and an international bowling alley.

The entire development boasts over 10,000 car parking bays.

Its unique 4-in-1 thematic mall concept will be accompanied with an International High Street, Colonial Street, Asian Food Street and Bar & Bistro Street boulevard-styled duplex retail outlets, al-fresco F&B and dining outlets as well as trendy workplaces in several signature office blocks.

Some of these streets come with a permanent controlled temperature canopy.

As you stroll towards the northern side, you will come to an 8-storey Lifestyle Cineplex Tower and Hotel which will be anchored by South Korea's CJ CGV Cinemas.

The tower will host the world’s first multi-projection theatre, Malaysia’s first 4DX cinematic halls and Malaysia’s first unique cinematic-themed hotel. The signing ceremony between Mammoth Empire and CJ CGV was held in November 2014.

Tous les Jours, the South Korean bakery chain is also opening in Empire City, as brand owner CJ Group, which owned CJ CGV Cinemas, had earlier worked with Mammoth Empire as master franchisor in Malaysia.

There will be three 5-star international hotels; two of them being the first The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the first Marriott Hotel outside of Kuala Lumpur CBD and another being Artés by Autograph Collection. The 260-room Artés will be the first Autograph Collection luxury hotels to be introduced in Malaysia, and will be managed by Marriott International.

KPJ Healthcare Bhd will also build a 460,000 sq ft state-of-the-art 300-bed specialist medical centre adjacent to Empire City.
