Three Little Birds Coffee is but the latest stage of the evolution of Third Wave Coffee – an international movement to produce and appreciate high-quality coffee – in Kuala Lumpur that started with Artisan Roast Coffee four years ago.
Back in August 2010, Artisan Roast Coffee was a small alfresco café beneath a rambutan tree at Yayasan Seni Berdaftar Artisan Centre & Gallery. Prior to their opening, one hardly heard of flat whites or ristrettos, much less single origin beans. There were only ice-blended, sugar-filled coffee beverages or kopi-O kaw for local caffeine addicts.
Now, Three Little Birds is a cafe dedicated to the flavours possible in coffee. The team are not only a great bunch of people, but they are passionate about the taste and flavours possible from coffee and they have dedicated their careers to its promise.
Situated next to a delightful garden and the sun has to shine through the vines to get to their window. You’re welcome to sit inside their cafe or in their aviary outside.
Also next door you can peer through the window of Artisan Roastery and see what it takes to roast green beans to the beans that we all love.
LOCATION
Three Little Birds is on the corner of Jalan Sentul and Jalan Enam in the building called D6. If you can see the alternating rise of the Capers and Fennel buildings, you’re close by. They’re just next to the Tamarind apartments and quite close to KL PAC. There’s heaps of free parking in the car park under the building and the serenity of the courtyard awaits once you step out of the lift at the ground floor.
They have opened their 2nd outlet in early August 2014. Located at The Waterfront in Desa ParkCity, KL this unassuming café overlooks a man-made lake and winding paths popular with joggers, cyclists and dog owners walking their beloved pooches.
